released as the third single from their self-titled
debut album. It is their first charting single,
reaching #10 on the Billboard Hot 100 and #4 on the
Canadian Hot 100. The single was certified Gold by
the RIAA on June 13, 2008 and later Platinum that
year, until finally reaching 2x Platinum status at
the end of January 2009, making it one of the 115
best-selling singles in U.S. history.
The song was featured as the Free Single of the Week on iTunes, was used in a TV spot for the film What Happens in Vegas..., and was featured in an ad for the American version of So You Think You Can Dance in Australia, as well as in the theatrical trailer for How to Lose Friends & Alienate People, on the soundtrack of The House Bunny and on So You Think You Can Dance Canada. TV network The N used the song in a commercial to promote new episodes of their show Degrassi: The Next Generation, and it was used in the Phillippines in commercials for Minute Maid.
