"Show Me Love" is a dance song by
Robin S. It is one of the biggest dance anthems of
all time in the United Kingdom. In 1993, it was the
lead single for her debut album of the same name,
and it became her biggest hit to date. The song is
often confused with the single "Luv 4 Luv", which is
musically similar and was released around the same
time, and with the 1997 hit "Show Me Love" by the
unrelated artist Robyn.
This song reached #1 on the Hot Dance Club Play
chart in the U.S., #5 on the Billboard Hot 100 in
the U.S., and #6 on the UK Singles Chart.
The song is famous for its use of the Korg M1
Percussion Organ Preset in the riff that is present
throughout.
This song is featured on DANCE! Online, a
multiplayer online casual rhythm game.
DJ Tonka made and released a remix of this song in
2002. In 2008, the song was remixed by Mobin Master
and released to radio in Australia.
In 2007 and 2008, the song was also remixed by
Michael Mind,Laidback Luke and Steve Angello, The
Wideboys, Ibiza Music United, Soulshaker and many
others artists. The song is featured on the Ministry
of Sound Anthems.
In 2007, the song was covered by Australian DJs
Mobin Master, featuring vocals from Karina Chavez.
The song was nominated for an ARIA Award for best
dance release in 2008.
The remix by Steve Angello and Laidback Luke will be
officially released on March 23, 2009 in the UK and
Ireland, becoming already a club hit across the
United Kingdom.
